Economic Development Consultant

To work within the London Regeneration Team within a highly succesful property consultancy providing advice to both public and private sector clients in relation to economic development, economic appraisals and feasibility studies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management: Liasing with consultants both within and outside of the team. Working with other professionals across the Firm when necessary.
Providing written and verbal advice to clients
Attendance at meetings
Briefing colleagues (both junior and senior)
Project programming
Support business winning including writing fee proposals and tender submissions and attending interviews where required.
Liasing with other departments internally where necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required

Degree in Economics or Economic Geography
Experience in Economic Development and/or Economic Impact Assessments
Understanding of regional and urban economics, labour markets and clustering
Understanding of issues affecting financial viability of development proposals
Sound understanding of UK and European policy and directives
Numerate and very good report writing skills
Proactive approach to the work required
